Hi everyone,

a new build:

Windows 7 without SP1
PSU LC Power LC600H-12 600W
MB MSI H81M-P33 Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL10 HyperX Fury Series
HDD Western Digital Blue 1000GB 64MB cache
GPU AMD Radeon R9 270X
Intel Core i5-4460

I can get around 5 mins of gaming then black screen (or lines) and sound loop. Is the cheap PSU a cause? I tried to change it for another unknown brand PSU – PP450FCA. I got 20 mins of gaming and then the same crash again. Any ideas?

Solution

Looks like the psu to me.The other already gives more playtime before not being able to keep on powering everything.

The other thing is your ram, according to the next is it not compatibel with that chipset=H81,

so maybe an issue too.

Drivers are up-to date.
Temperatures are fine.
BIOS updated.

RAM not tested – will try

Thanks
