I've recently bought samsung np730u3e with Liteon lmt-128m6m SSD. After some time I've checked my SSD with crystal disk...

power on time: 110 h
power on count: 350
total host reads: 81 TB
total host writes: 43 TB

The SSD, after 3 hours of browsing the internet read 2 TB and wrote 8TB of data!!!
I have no idea what is happening.
My other SSD PNY ssd9sc240geda in another laptop works properly:

power on time: 2137 h
power on count: 1286
total host reads: 3,8 TB
total host writes: 3,1 TB

I've set up both of my drives the same way.

SSDlife says that my drive health is excellent (estimated lifetime is over 8yrs), however it shows the same values as Crystal Disk.

How can I solve the problem?

Well, I guess I will have to :(

EDIT:
I've restarted 2 laptops and started HDtune's Disk Monitor, after 10 mins:

- Liteon SSD (@win 8) wrote 50MB and read 12MB
- another SSD (PNY) (@win 7) wrote 33MB and read 302KB

the difference isn't big...
however, what has happened with SMART data is more interesting:
PNY's 'total host reads' and 'total host writes' sections didn't change, but Liteon's 'total host writes' showed 5GB more and 2GB more in 'the total host reads' section.

I also ran into the same issue. Do you have any updates, OP?

Check my screenshot and you will see how insane the total host writes and reads are in such a short amount of time. I barely used it, no downloading, no gaming, no movies, only plain system to read news.
