RAM Only at 1333Mhz, Rated 1866Mhz

Hello,

I have built a computer about a year ago and have been running my ram at the low 1333Mhz.
There is a XMP profile for the 1866Mhz but I am running on an AMD system so I was wondering what I can do to optimize the RAM.

My build.

CPU: AMD FX-8350 oc @ 4.29Ghz

Cooling: Corsair H80i

Motherboard: Asus 990FX Sabertooth r2.0

GPU: EVGA GTX 760 SC 2GB

RAM: 8GB Kingston T1 1866mhz

SSD: 120GB Kingston HyperX

HDD: 640GB Western Digital

PSU: XFX Pro 750watt

Run the XMP profile ?

You can use the XMP profile and the memory should boost up to 1866.

There's no XMP with AMD and in BIOS the profile limit is 1600.

The profile is there for AMD in the memory settings and can be used.

this cpu and motherboard have the 1866 ram speed on there specs so it should work .

On the Sabertooth look for the DOCP setting, which should take in the Profile and allow you to set it to 1866, then will want to check what timings it sets the DRAM at and manually set to spec timings if needed. Any problems, give me a shout

Thank you I will try that. I would like the full speed of the ram as I have been using After Effects.

Update: I changed it to DOCP and chose the o.c. profile checked the timings everything was good but when I start the computer I just get a black screen.

Update 2: Since the system did not boot I did the MemOK flash went to the bios and tried the o.c. profile for 1600Mhz and the system booted.

Give the 1866 a try again and raise the DRAM voltage up + 0.05 and the set the CPIU/NB voltage to 1.22
