Motherboard and CPU compatibility check !

Hello everyone I have the Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard and I wanted to get a new CPU and was just wondering if the AMD Piledriver FX-8 eight core 8370 black edition 4.00GHz would be a good one to get

flash the BIOS , if needed and put FX 8370

Hi, If the BIOS is older than 2501, you can use Flashback for flashing the BIOS.

you have an AM3+ motherboard, the 8370 uses an AM3+ socket, so yes the 8370 is compatible, along with every other FX CPU. And yes, the 8370 would be a perfect match for that motherboard.
