Hi Guys,

I am new to this computing thing and I would like to build a good pc that will last me a long period of time, however I am looking to use the pc to play minecraft with shaders and also be able to record it, and be able to play DayZ with out lag here is a link to the PC part Pickers list http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8DR4wP and also my budget is £1200 and if you guys have any suggestions then please let me know so I can improve the build list.

Thank you

well you could probably play minecraft with 200+ mods and shaders and still record at 60 fps with that build, dayz will stutter and lag regardless of what you use im afraid (Just not so much on that rig) i would go with a Z97 Motherboard however to avoid any complications with the 4790k (BIOS updates etc) i would recommend the ASUS Maximus VII Hero, its roughly the same price as the motherboard you have selected.

That's about as good a build as you can put together for a reasonable price ... agree with the comment about a Z97 motherboard, but you also don't need one so expensive unless you are planning on really pushing an extreme overclock or multi-GPU setup, by which I mean probably 3 video cards. Otherwise a regular Z97 board will be fine.

I'd also lose the water cooler; it's the biggest scam going on right now. A good air cooler will actually beat the low-end closed-loop water coolers while giving you far less to worry about.

Ahh ok thank you so you would say something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo would be good and I am not planning on overclocking as I feel like I should just leave the stuff at stock setup and what type of board would you recommend as there is the Z97 A and the deluxe

1. Any Z97 board will be great
2. The H100i is not a low end cooler and will perform WAY better than the 212 Evo
3. The reason why Day Z would not perform that well is an internet problem, not hardware
