why my newly installed ram can't be detected by my pc?

hey guys i just bought a "2gb Kingston ddr3 99U5595-002.A00LF" i plug it in my motherboard and my pc wont detect it.... i already have an existing "2gb Kingston ddr3 99U5474-012.A00LF" installed in my pc... my motherboard model is "P5G41T-M LX3"... pls help guys i really need to install this newly bought ram and i don't know how :C

Have you tried it by itself? If it will boot byitself With the old stick out, then try going into BIOS and raise the DRAM voltage + 0.075 from spec, save, exit, shutdown and add the old stick then try, if it won't run by itself it may be either a dead stick or simply not compatible

i tried using he new one by itself... then my pc wont start, is it defective or what??
