Hey there, I'm a casual gamer so I'm not used to hardware terms. I'm looking to get a PS4 but a lot of people recommends me to get a gaming laptop instead. However, I don't have that much of a budget, and I'm looking to get a gaming laptop under $500, preferably a good one that has a good battery life and is smooth enough to run games like FIFA 15 and GTA IV. I'm not used to the hardware terms though. Thanks for your help. C:

No it's not possible to get a gaming laptop for under $500. You could build your own entry level gaming desktop for around that price however. Assuming your TV and graphics cards have the appropriate connections, yes it can be connected to a TV.

Google how to build a gaming PC and you will find lots of great tutorials. It's not hard to do at all.

You don't need the laptop form factor. You can't take out a PS4 so why not build a PC. Get a i5, NO SSD more like HDD or SSHD, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, Cheap Motherboard, Cheap USB Wireless Adapter, cheap 500-600 Watt Bronze PSU, Cheap case and that's it.

How does one build a PC exactly? Do I need a monitor or can I just hook it up to a TV? And if I got a gaming laptop, I would connect it to a TV and most probably get a gaming controller to get the console feel as I'm only used to consoles and i only use laptops for general use. Is it possible to build a good one under $500?
