This question may be kind of stupid but whatever. So 3 years ago i purchased a prebuilt HP "Gaming pc" I've been upgrading it and replacing its parts ever since and now the only two parts in it that are still from HP are the Mobo and CPU. I bought myself a i7-4790k and an asus hero mobo. So I'm wondering if when I install the Mobo am I going have to re-install an operating system (Which means I would have to go buy it) I have a recovery disk from HP buts it preloaded with a bunch of HP crap. So do I have to reinstall a new OS, if not would it be better to? Also what steps should I take before putting in the new parts should I reset my PC to factory settings?
