Hi,

I'm looking for a good and economic sound card to accompany my sennheiser headset, which apparently lost all its luster when using onboard audio. I'm trying to keep costs as minimal as possible while getting the maximum quality. I'm looking for good bass for my open-backed, bass-lacking cans, as well as excellent mic quality, as I was indistinguishable with onboard, and never want that to happen again.

So which do you guys think is better?

Advice appreciated!

I have creative sound blaster in my mobo g1 sniper 5
and a asus xonar D2X

experienced both,

creative has better clarity and more options in software.

Hi have both soundcards the soundblaster Z is in my media pc and the DGX in my game pc
Both sound realy good.
But the soundblaster is for using speakers and stuff not realy for headphones. the dgx doesnt sound as good as the soundblaster but it realy is made for headphones so will give you options like dolby virtual suround.

If you are not in to gaming get the soundblaster its better for music. Otherwise get the DGX

I do a bit of both music (the bassy kind) and gaming actually, but I'm primarily (meaning 99.92% of the time) going to be using headphones. Will the DGX suffice for the musical aspect, bass and all?
