cpu red light asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and fx 8350!!

Hi i just bought a sabertooth 990fx r2.0 yesterday, after I install my fx 8350 and boot it up, the cpu red light turns on, there is no post no video whatsoever, no broken pins on the cpu, and am pretty sure the power cables are well connected, please help!! I can't afford a DOA!

Then CPU is supported. Is the 8 pin power cable connected? Does the CPU fan spin when starting the board?

Ya i have a corsair h100i liquid cooler and it does light up and the fans do start spinning

I suggest testing the board outside the case. Reseat the CPU, install the stock CPU fan, connect both 24 and 8 pin power cables and start the board. See if still CPU led.

i gave the stock cooler to my brother

right now am testing it without any cooler to see if the light goes off...

It's not a good idea. Is there a backplate necessary for the liquid cooler?

Not sure what's wrong with it. Still CPU led on even after reseating it?

Either board, or CPU issue, assuming that the CPU gets power.

If the CPU led stays on, then CPU doesn't work. No other suggestion.
