Basically a while back i bought a new graphics card to upgrade my computer. I am a keen gamer and therefore needed a decent upgrade. I purchased the Asus HD 7770 2GB GDDR5 for this.
I followed all the normal procedure when installing the graphics card, and yet i had many problems occur. If i plugged in the GFX, then turned the computer on, the screen would simply stay black.
Windows however would still load up; i could hear it.
If i went into BIOS and made the computer run off the integrated Intel 3000 GFX then it would work fine using that GFX, however thats not what i want.
I could see in the device management window that the device (7770) was there, and seemed to be working fine. However when plugged in, and BIOS set to load the Dedicated GFX card (the 7770) there would only be a black screen.
This problem occured a while ago, but i have kept the GFX card in its box and want to try to resolve it again.
The MOBO is the: GA-78LMT USB-3.
I have 4 GB of RAM.
3.6GHz Quad core processor.
Windows 7 professional.
I think my PSU is 500w but im not 100%
