First components

OS: windows 7 64bit
MoBo: Asus P6X58D-E ( a secondary problem I am having with the Mobo, it seems to not see 2 sticks of RAM (6 sticks of 2gb for 12gb total) in A1 and A2 (the 2 dimm slots closest to the CPU) however this does not seem to have an effect on the computer other than occasionally restarting twice before booting and running through the asus Memok.
RAM: ADATA 1600, 6 2gb sticks for 12gb total
CPU: Intel I-7 960@3.8Ghz (Run a corsair H100, and temps stay Nice and cool even in hot florida summers, after it BsOD on me, went into the Bios and disabled the OC and backed it down to the stock 3.2, this did not appear to change anything, but at least eliminates one thing)
GPU: GTX 570 Palit not sure of the speeds, but it is a 1.2gb card (it seems to be the root of my problem, as the Nvidia drivers appear to cause the BsOD, more on that later)
PSU: Corsair HX1,000W modular PSU
Hard Drives: Hitatchi 2TB 7200HDD and Intel 320 series SSD 120gb. (both drives run a Windows OS, the error occurred at the same time on both drives, which has not happened in 4 years of me owning this computer. usually one will crash and the other works fine.) (for simplicity I have unpluged the HDD and only trying to fix the SSD for now.)

Issues

When booting up the computer will load the Bios, and start loading windows. immediately after loading it blackscreens, and 3-5 seconds later BsOD pops up. under Tech info it refers to NVLDDMKM.sys, (I can post a photo of it if need be.) I understand this is a rather common problem with the older 400/500 GTX cards with the newer driversand thus went and tried a clean install of quite a few Nvidia drivers, including the most recent, the last 2 versions, 314.22(which seemed to work for quite a few people, but not me) and a version ealier than 314.22. To install them I booted it in safe mode (which loads fine, 100% of the time). After uninstalling the Nvidia drivers, it will even boot into 'normal' windows with a generic graphics driver placed by windows for the GPU, however I am limited to much smaller resolution than usual(about 1280x720)(native is 1920x1080 for my Screen) and it wont stretch to fit the TV (42 inch TV, leaves about 4 inches of black border on all sides)

Its a lot to read, but if anyone has had experience with this and can help would appreciate it very much. I will be watching the thread close and at the ready to answer any questions and or attempt a fix.

Solution
Are any sticks of memory detectable in the a1 and a2 slots of the motherboard? Do they detect if they are the only 2 sticks installed? Does the bluescreen issue persist if only 1 stick (known to be good) is installed in the a, b or c slots?

That error is super generic, meaning the graphics driver is failing or failed to load, but it doesn't mean the driver is the source of the problem.

How do you have your GPU hooked to the PSU? I always recommend, especially on a single GPU machine, to have two separate PCIe power cables rather than using the daisy chain 6+2 and 6 pin. You can also try using one of the hardwired PCIe connectors with one modular one.

These issues can be caused by many many components. I'd start at that screwy memory and PSU. The card can also be failing.

Might not solve your problem, but I was having the same issues (Intel HD Graphics 4400 and GT 840M), every time I installed the 840M drivers I would get a BSOD. Turns out I used an old version of Windows Loader to validate Windows; uninstalling it and then trying the last version solved my problem.
