Hi, I have to connect my GPU (XFX R9 280X) to my PSU with PCIE cables, and I was wondering if it matters if I plug in 6+2 pin to PSU.
My PSU is from Cooler Master which I can only plug in 6-pin to it, but it's near impossible to find a cable other than 8-pin to 6+2 pin.
Is 6+2pin strictly for plugging in to GPU?
**new edit**
Is there any cable combination (with adapters, extension, etc) that I could use to connect this damn GPU to PSU? The only requirement would be to make sure it has a 6-pin female for plugging to PSU. It doesn't matter if the other end for plugging to GPU is 6-pin, 8-pin, or 6+2 pin.
I'm not really familiar with cables or components in general, so I'd like some help.
I didn't even get the chance to use this new GPU for a whole month just because of this damn cable connecting issue, and I would really appreciate any help.
