When I had 8gb of 1600mhz RAM, I had 777MB reserved. I didn't really think much of this, but I recently installed another kit of 4x2gb of RAM.
The Hardware Reserved has gone up to 8.8gb, leaving me at 7.2 to use.

I have 4x4 Crucial Ballistix 1600mhz RAM
My MoBo is GIGABYTE Z68X-UD3H-B3, site says 32GB is Max RAM for this MoBo, so I don't believe that's the problem.

Windows 8.1 x64

Gigabyte GTX 970 OC

Intel I5-2500k @ 3.3

What I've tried:

1) I've gone into msconfig and unchecked the memory, no change.
2) I've reseated all the memory, though I don't think this would have been a problem considering they are all the same sticks of RAM.
3) I bought a single stick of 8GB Crucial Ballistic 1600mhz, same thing as the 4x2.

Solution

I actually resolved it, but thank you very much for your help. I went into my BIOS and noticed the voltage on the original two sticks were way different than the recommended on the box. I defaulted them and it fixed, thanks very much.

I have not. Do I physically just pull the battery out? Will I need a new battery or just plug it back in after?

Edit: Also, how could resetting this resolve the problem, if I may ask?
