Greetings.

I bought these components yesterday:

CPU: FX-6300 + cooler Hyper212 Evo
MBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB 1866MHz
GPU: Sapphire R7 250X VaporX OC
SSD: Samsung EVO 840
HDD: Green 1TB
PSU: LC POWER Silent Giant LC6560GP3
Case: Thermaltake Commander MS-I

Situation: after a clean Windows 7 PRO x64 install, the machine works. Then, I install the GPU DRIVER, and reboot. After the reboot, when the Windows loading logo ends (at the time when the login screen should appear), all I get is a black screen. The display is receiving the signal I guess - its background lights are turned on, but all it shows is a black screen.

I tried installing the following Catalyst versions:
- 14.12 OMEGA
- 14.9
- 14.11 BETA
- 13.12
- 13.9

Also, I updated the MBO BIOS from F1 to F2g version (latest).

I still get the black screen.

Any ideas?

Solution
If another card works in the PC normally, it would seem that the new card is defective in some manner that corrupts the driver code. Best to not waste any more time with it.

The only way of uninstalling the Catalyst drivers was from the safe mode, so, yes, I can boot to it :)

Refresh:

I tried something with my own PC, let's call it PC-OLD: FX-8320, Asus 990FX Sabertooth r2.0.

1) I connected my XFX R9 280X Black from my PC-OLD to the PC-NEW one, and - it works, drivers install normally without black screen.
2) Next, I tried connecting this new Sapphire R7 250X to my PC-OLD, which already has Catalyst 14.12 omega installed, and, guess what - black screen is here.

So, is there anything I could possibly do to make this R7 250X work?
