Looking to buy components for my system. Looked at http://www.primeabgb.com/ site, seems to be good. Only concern i have is Warranty, as far as warranty is concerned is buying online as good as buying at local store or is it different? (in India)

Please share any one know more about it.

Thanks

The warranty is unchanged unless stated. If you're getting 5 year warranty on say PSU, you'll get that regardless of method of purchase, ie, online or locally. If you recieve a malfunctioning component, you can RMA it from the e-vendor. But if the component fails and is under warranty, you'll have to contact the company not the vendor.

PS: Thanks darkbreeze for the PM!

Just thought I'd add too, since it seems to apply, to make sure it's a relatively regional online retailer or else you're looking at big shipping fees to return it somewhere if you have to use the warranty. I think that's one issue you guys run into quite a bit there right? Also, any high dollar products you buy, make sure that it's a product you can get some kind of regional support with after the vendors return period. Like for example, Seasonic has a warranty center in India, I forget where, but I don't think XFX does. Just as an example. So an XFX PSU would have to be sent out of country if it failed after the initial vendors warranty. I could be wrong, but that seems right.

Thank u all for the quick info , I live in south and found online retailer from Mumbai. Will explore any south based online retailers available.

Thanks again

By local retailer, I actually meant within India. Anything travelling within the boundaries will not cost a lot. Don't forget to check up Flipkart/ Snapdeal/ Amazon.in as they have a well setup chain of RMA and service centers, in addition to the huge variety of products they offer. My advice would be to get your component from a major e-retailer if possible, since it's very easy to RMA or avail warranty if needed, I'd trust them more than regional retailers.
