The cfm and rpm are identical with the noctua fan but the aerocool fan is slightly quieter and it has blue leds and it looks better my problem is the aerocool fan is a standard 3 pin fan and the noctua is a pwm. I did a little researching and found out that the motherboard I am going to be getting supports dc mode. Will dc mode act like pwm and raise or lower the fan speed according to the cpu temp I think I understand but please correct me if Im wrong is that pwm mode supports 4 pin fans and it is a constant 12+v current that comes in pulses the faster the pulse the faster the fan spins the slower the pulse the slower the fan spins as to dc mode just raises and lowers the voltage current according to cpu temps right? So if I had a 3 pin fan and put it into a pwm 4 pin cpu header and turn on dc mode in bios will it work just like a pwm fan would and raise and lower in speeds according to cpu temp?
