I am building the following PC and will not be overclocking,
Processor: Core i5 4690
MB: Asus H97 Pro Gamer
Ram: 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970
Cooler: CM Hyper Evo TX3
LG DVD Writer, 2TB WD or Seagate HDD
My real problem comes with the PSU and UPS choices I have to make! Seasonic has no support here in India and Corsair, though has excellent support, has only the VS and CX series here!
I have decided to go with the Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2UK/CMPS 600W PSU which has neutral reviews. It has an Active PFC system and will work only with pure sine wave power (as per discussions on the forum).
Finding a pure sine wave UPS has me in a tangle and I am holding my build indefinitely now because of it. We have power cuts everyday and a good UPS is imperative. Can any of you please suggest how to solve this problem.
1. Is it advisable to get the APC BR 1000G-IN (stepped up sine wave) and go for a Corsair VS PSU which is not 80+ ? What are the potential problems I could face with this choice?
2. Will the Corsair CX be able to run on a stepped up sine wave? What kind of hardware torcher are we looking at?
Also, will a 1000VA UPS be able to handle the above config along with a 32-inch LED TV for a few mins before the back-up generator comes on?
P.S. I wonder how people build proper gaming PCs in India!
