Hi. I just got my new computer and im having an issue. The computer isn't posting, so i think i know the issue. As stated in the description, it has 1x8 pin and 1x4 pin for the CPU, but the PSU only has 3 pins, 4 pins and 2 pins which doesn't fit with the 4 pin.

PSU is Corsair RM 850 and motherboard is MSI X99S ACK. CPU is i7 5280.

you only need to occupy the 8-pin power connector for the PC to start, the 4-pin only is there if you want to do extreme overclocking.

any 6+2 pin for for the GPU

any 6-pin if for the GPU

any 8-pin is for the GPU

4+4-pin is for the CPU.

^That's the cable you need to use to the 8-pin connector on the motherboard.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I found out the reason why it wouldn't post, i have quad channel DDR4 and i had placed them in the wrong slots. I'm not going to do any extreme overclocking, but i will try to take my 5820k to a stable 4,2+ if i can

4,2+ sounds bit extreme for 3,3GHz 5820K to me :)
Hope you got some bad ass cooling and good hearing protection, too :)

how does 4.9GHz sounds on my 4930k when it's clocked at 3.4GHz stock :)
