Sleep Mode / Wake Up Issue

Hi Guys,

I have an issue whereby I installed a new HDD (Western Digital Blue 7200RPM) and used my DVD ROM's power supply cable and SATA cable to connect my HDD (my motherboard didn't allow for another internal device and I could do without a DVD ROM).

When I turned my PC back on, after the default 10 - 20 minutes, it goes into sleep mode, then it doesn't wake up.

I press the power button and everything powers back on for around 4-5 seconds and then goes off for around 4-5 seconds, then goes back on and repeats the process until I switch if off at the main, and then back on and it powers up just fine.

I then disabled the sleep mode completely but what happens now is that after a few hours, I would switch my screen back on to use the PC again and then see a message saying "No screen input" then immediately "entering sleep mode".

Then when I press the On button on the case, same issue, 4-5 seconds on, then off then on again.

Any ideas?

My Setup: Gigabyte mboard
CPU: Intel 3.5ghz quad core
Nvidia gtx 650
1TB Western Digital Green + 2TB Western Digital Blue
Corsair 500Watt power supply - Green

Hi Vic, what I discovered is that my new HDD was set as the primary boot device, I simply changed that back to my previous HDD (Windows) and now the issue hasn't re-occurred :D
