Hi,
Looking to build an entry level system for running games such as BF4 and COD: AW

will this be able to run it?

Total: £499.82
CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core £85.19
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 £85.54
Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 £42.97
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM £35.94
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 280X 3GB TWIN FROZR £177.94
Case NZXT: Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower £30.25
Power: Corsair 500W ATX12V £41.99

Solution
I think the i3-4150 Will be a huge bottleneck for the R9 280x, and keep in mind the GPU itself already uses up 250watts from your total 500watts, In stead of the i3-4150 i would go with an i5-4440. I found it for around 160 euro's But this processor will give your computer much more power. If you can afford it buy an i5-4440. If you can't i would still go with the i5-4440 and take a less powerfull GPU.

ok cool thankyou, i will start saving now then! :) got £100 so far so not too long, while im at it, do you reckon a mac mini with i5 clocking 2.7 ghz with 3.6 boost, 1tb 7200rpm hdd, 8gb 1600mhz ram and intel iris graphics running windows would run games?

Exactly what i5 is it? , and what iris graphics?. For integrated graphics iris graphics aren't to bad ( Good enough for games like League of legends at 60fps). But for that money an Mac mini would cost you could get much a much better desktop.

My first question: Are you build this or buying this?

Also, don't get such a high end graphics card and pair it up with an Intel i3, I would recommend and Intel Core i5 4440 its cheap and it'll pair up good with the R9 280X

Will you be Overclocking?

I looked at 6 core AMD options but from experience and use, I found that compared to even a dual core Intel it sucks as they just aren't anywhere near as powerful

I'm going to be building it as a secondary PC but seeing how much I can get for the money as i have spent just shy on £2k getting music hard/software and pc, screen speakers so just wanted something for games now and again as im bored on the xbox :p
