hey guys im currently playing Far Cry 4 at ultra setting 1080p
with the following specs:
i5 4690K @ stock
MSI GTX 970
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 mobo
Corsair Vengeance 4*2 GB 1660Mhz
im getting very good average fps 80-90
but ever so often my fps drops down to the 40s
which results in lag
this is happening is very high and high settings as well
the only setting its not happening is low
and in medium it happens less frequently but it still happens
i have the latest drivers
have all three updates installed
wonder what the problem is
anybody else with the same problem?

I have i5 4690k and R9 290, game is set at ultra and the most of time runs about 70-80FPS only in some parts of map when I drive a car or quad there are lags (game pauses) or drops to 40FPS so IMO it's problem of this game
