My Graphic card just broken, I need to upgrade a new one

My GPU is Geforce 9400GT but it's not work anymore so I need to replace a new one
My system:
Motherboard: G41M ES2L
Processor: E7500 2.93GHz Core 2 dual
Ram: 4GB

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, so that's good.

Without knowing your power supply wattage, a 6670 1gb gddr5 would be a very nice upgrade.

Honestly, it's time to upgrade the entire PC as any decent modern GPU like a GTX 760 (mid-range card today) will be horribly bottlenecked by that ancient CPU that you have. Also, if your PSU is less than 500W, then you will be limited to say, a GTX 750 Ti, but even that card will be held back horribly because of the ancient CPU and the bottleneck it will cause. It's not worth trying to game on that old CPU with any decent modern GPU.

if you want it easy just get GTX650 or GT740. even that GPU the CPU might still caused slight bottlenecked. if you want cards like GTX750Ti you need to OC that CPU. used to own same motherboard and processor in the past. max OC i was able to get around 3.77Ghz but i settle down with 3.60Ghz (this is when my GTX460 got bottlenecked by the CPU). if you're lucky you can get it around 3.8Ghz. but you won't get pass that. not due to processor but due to chipset limitation. if you got board with P45 chipset you can push the processor to 4Ghz mark with good cooling (possibly with water cooling). but i think that is out of question. getting new platform is plain better choice.

I dont want to spend too much on an entire computer because It'll cost about 500USD. My demand is just playing dota 2 and do some simple photoshop,light room. I'm just amateur in this section so I think upgrade is a reasonable option for me. Maybe in the future I will purchase a new pc that cost about 1000USD but "my baby" should stay with me as he have done it for a long time. I have another job for him like an alternative plan, watching movie, even downloading document or a place to store my stuff. I love her so dont make me stay away from that. Dont tell her is an acient CPU because you're hurting me :(
