New motherboard + CPU + old Windows install = no boot.
Sometimes it works, usually it doesn't.

Clean install.

Do you have the license key? Should be printed on the case, or somewhere in your paperwork.
If so, you can download the relevant Windows ISO from here:

Install, and activate with your existing license. If it is an OEM license (and it probably is), that license is tied to the original motherboard. It is completely up to Microsoft as to wwhether to allow that same license to be used with a different motherboard or not.

And yes, the install will wipe out your current data. You should have a backup of anything critical, right?

Thing is I don't have the disk. I bought the computer previously pre-built. And I never installed windows myself. so, I have no windows disk.

If you have installed windows on c-drive,then all the data on your c-drive is gone.other than that other data is still there on your hard drive.but you have to install windows all over again.you cannot change a mother board and cpu and expect it to work even after you change it.
good luck:)

Try booting to safe mode by spamming the F8 key before it gets to the boot screen. Then, if it boots successfully, you'll be able to install the drivers for both, if it doesn't automatically detect your cpu by default. I'm not sure if this will work in your case, but good luck! I've taken a hdd from a Toshiba Satellite C875-S7205 and put it in a L455-S5975. I had to do exactly as I said above. :)
