My stock cooler of the i5-4590 started making weird noises and not cooling properly so I wanted to get a new one. The case I have is a NZXT h230. I use the computer mainly for gaming and I don't intend to OC. I also have a gtx970 which produces some heat.
I was looking at the Cooler master 212evo as it has been recommended on various internet platforms but the cpu cooler clearance of the case is 158mm, the height of the 212 is 159mm. I know 1mm might not be that important but I'm still not sure if I should really use all of that clearance. The case is, after all, not the the best out there and there could be some difficulties.
TL;DR: Is there anyone who has the NZXT h230 and the 212EVO and can share their experience?
If not what cooler would you recommend in a similar price segmet? (~30€)
