Stuttering Issues When Playing Ryse: Son of Rome on PC

I received Ryse: Son of Rome (PC Version) today for Christmas and have been playing it for a couple of hours. I'm really enjoying it so far, great game! The only problem is that I'm having some performance issues when I don't think I should be at least not with my hardware and the graphical settings I have the game on. The gameplay and cut scenes all run pretty decently 45-65 fps on average but there's is some pretty major stuttering. There's enough stuttering that it actually interrupts my gameplay and I get hit by enemy AI because the frames are so up and down.

Here's my system specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: i5-4690k
MOBO: ASRock Z97 Extreme3
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB Superclocked w/ACX Cooler
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB 1600 MHz
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 600W
Storage: Hitachi 1 TB 7200 RPM

I'm playing the game with textures on Very High (I don't know how to change that setting), and all other settings on High. Super-sampling is off, Motion-Blur is off, V-sync is off, and Temporal Anti-Aliasing is on.

I'd say about half the time I'm getting smooth frame rates 50+ but always with minor stuttering (dipping down in to the 40's at random times with no obvious reason why) but the other half of the time my frame rate is all over the place. Ryse still runs at 50 fps and higher when there is major stuttering but dips quite a bit (probably even into the thirties at times). I've tried running the game at all the different settings and even on Low it still stutters. I've heard of other people having trouble with Ryse stuttering including people with higher-end systems than mine. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix the stuttering or at least minimize it?

Thanks bimbaws. I'm going to keep messing around with it until I fix it. Some people say to run a bunch of programs in the background and that stops the stuttering for some reason. I'm going to give it a go.

Haha! I fixed it lol. Someone else posted on a thread here that they had stuttering issues with Ryse and when they turned on Shadowplay the stuttering stopped. I tried the same and now it works! It's super-smooth. So for anyone else who has the same issue then just turn on Shadowplay when playing Ryse and if you have an AMD GPU then use AMD's equivalent of Shadowplay. Perhaps having Shadowplay on forces Ryse to use all the CPU cores instead of just a couple. I think the problem is CPU based but I'm not for sure.
