i have a tenda modem plus router as i changed my internet service provider he supply me intenet through rj45 cable bt the wan is of rj11 so now i am not able to use internet so can i put ethernet cable in lan port and use internet

Solution
If he uses the Tenda as a switch (using an LAN port) there will be no router in his network and it is unlikely that his ISP provides more than one IP address (whether static or dynamic) so he will have an unstable network. Better to spend $30 for an inexpensive TP-Link router.

The Tenda WAN port is RJ-11 meant for a DSL telephone line and cannot be converted to RJ-45.

run ethernet cable from ethernet jack on pc to your modem/router and use one of the lan socket connections, not the wan one. it should be working after your os noticed the connection and aligns it's protocals with the isp's protocals on the modem/router. if you still have problems, contact your isp provider.

well i didn't know that, i've been on dialup to dsl to fios and all with the same telco for over 1.5 decades(rest of my area went with aol, then to comcast then to my telco when they got sick of getting screwed over royally by the first 2)
