Would a dedicated physx card drastically increase performance?

So i am doing a complete overhaul of my pc, from an old quad core 2.5ghz to a 4790K and graphics card from GTX 570 HD to a GTX 970. The sales person at the store suggested that i can still use the 570 as a dedicated physx card (as oppose to selling it on ebay), but i am wondering if i will see a significant difference in games since i was under the impression that the 970 should suffice as it's a rather powerful card.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. below are more details re: my build

CPU: i7 4790k
Mobo: asrock z97 extreme 4
Graphics: EVGA GTX 970
PSU: 750w
16GB DDR3
256gb SSD / 2TB HDD

Solution
Yes, It will relieve some of the burden from the CPU or the 1st gfx card when physX is in use. But I wouldn't call the improvement drastic. The down side is the 2nd card will add more heat and wattage demand to the system.

Thanks, i think my current 750w psu should be able to handle both cards, that said, i probably should run a benchmark and see if the improvement justifies the additional heat/wattage

Probably a good idea. PhysX uses so little processing power, the GTX 570 can almost do that at idle. You may find it more beneficial to sell the GTX 570. They are getting bids at $50 t0 $70 on ebay.
Or keep it for a backup gfx card.
