I'm having an issue with (I'm assuming) my motherboard: When I have everything plugged in and installed, it turns on briefly (the fans and light turn on, and the HDD and Optical Drive spin up) but it turns off after about 3 seconds. There are no beeps, and there is no image on the monitor. When I try different combinations of my 4 ram sticks, the same thing happens. If I take out all four sticks of ram, the computer starts beeping furiously (which I believe is an indication of problems with ram :p) but doesn't switch off. I've tried resetting the CMOS, I know my PSU works, my heat sync and fans are new, as well as my Ram and HDD. I am just wondering if there are any suggestions anyone has as to what this might be. Could it be a problem with an internal thermometer forcing the pc to shut down? Could it be an incompatibility issue with my bios and GPU? Any input anyone has would be amazing.
These are my specs:
4 x 4gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance (New)
Intel i7 3820 4 x 3.6ghz 10% oc (Component in question)
1TB Western Digital Black Hard Drive (Working)
Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 (Component in question)
800 Watt Solid Gear PSU (Working)

Also, I tried switching out my current GPU for an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 w/ 2gb of memory, and it only shuts of and on more quickly now. If I hold the power button, it will keep going until I let go.
