So I was looking around,,
At first i was so close to ordering this one,
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Windforce 3X OC (4gb),

Then I looked around a bit and found this one
MSI RADEON R9 290X Gaming 8GB

The MSI cost around 80 euro more, is it worth it?

I want to be able to max every game on the market at 1920x1080 1 screen at the start.
I will be getting a 4K screen soon, I really want the best for the money,

Note I will also be trying to have this computer for atleast 4-5 years!

the other parts in the PC is good, I only need help with the graphic card,

I asked alot of people but everyone say difference, alot say GTX 970 because its a nvidia card,

Look at how much radeon r9 295x2 in your area is. They are 700$ in my area, and way better than 290 or 980 for 4k gaming.

the the 290x is better than the 970 and the 980 is better than the 290x i would go for the 290x because its give better optimization in games and more preformance the only thing is that the 290x does not have the best cooling.

You could look at the 4 GB version of the 290X and increase the percentage by a point or two. The GTX 970 is really the best option here as it's more efficient with less raw resources and it consumes MUCH MUCH less power and outputs MUCH MUCH less heat.

GTx 970 is the best bang for you buck.

The GTX 970 is THE best card you can get right now. Even with 8 GB, the 290X isn't worth it unless you're running 4K, and even then, the 970 is equal. Also, by offering customers like you free games, AMD is successfully selling GPUs that aren''t as good as the competition. Games can always be bought later, but look at the choice like this: Do you want a GPU that performs worse than the 970, outputs lots of heat and consumes A LOT of power (the 290X) or a GPU that's really good, outputs very little heat and sips power (the 970. it only consumes 145 watts!)?

Yes, the 970 will be good in four or five years. It will still eb good after five or seven years if you SLI two of them. The 970 being the G1 Gaming card makes it even better, as it's one of the best.

I think he said he wants 4k gaming in witch he will need 2 cards or the 295x2 and if you look at benchmarks with 2 290x vs 980 in most games the 290x wins in 4k gaming considering that cf scales better then sli does

Well, it's still good. The card in the Tom's review you posted was a G1 card. Still, the 970 is your best bet.

I currently do not own a GTX 970 (although I would LOVE to!
