[SOLVED] Samsung Galaxy S3 stuck after updating

Hi guys,

I was trying to update my S3 using Kies. I connected the phone with my PC, started Kies, then selected firmware upgrade and initialization. It took a while to download, but after reaching 100%, the phone switched off itself and when it started again, it got stuck at the screen showing..

"Downloading....Do not turn off target"

What should I do? Should i wait for another hour or two with a hope that it is currently updating or is it just stuck?

You have to be careful that you don't run down your batter... otherwise you'll be really stuck unless you swap in a fresh one.

Samsung Kies as a recovery built in for problems while updating. Have you tried using that, yet?

This is an older post, but still, for any of those who might read this in the future..

I left the phone as it is. And after a while, maybe after an hour, it did indeed start and the process was successful. Have already sold the phone though.
