Hi, I'd like to ask if my I7-3820 (3.6 GHz) is a bottleneck for my GTX 690 from ASUS, as I'm occasionally seeing less than expected performance. For example:
It was me and my friend playing TF2 when he decided to benchmark his system. He maxed his settings on his i7- 4770k (non OC) and GTX 780 (normal edition) and got a total of around 800fps average without scripts and with the FPS limit off. Me? I got 450 on average. Yes this is really nitpicky, but this translates to higher intensity games like Assasin's Creed, Garry's Mod (Certain maps), and Battlefield.
Could it be a bottleneck? SLI optimization? Airflow (Idle is at 30 and 33 for the GPUs)?
I'd just like for a way to get better performance from my rig is all.
