Hello,
Today I started a new build and the specs are as follows:
PSU: Roswell 750 watt
CPU: AMD fx 6350
MOBO: MSI 970
GPU: MSI GTX 970 GAMING
RAM: G-Skill 8gb ddr3-1600
CASE: NZXT h440
Now for the problem:
Towards the beggining of the day when i first finished putting the pc together, I turned it on. Everything lit up and fans spun like they should. However, there was nothing displayed on the screen.
I tried the following:
first I tried different cables (HDMI, VGA, DVI-I, DVI-D) however that did not make a difference.
then I tried switching out the ram with ram of a different brand. This made no change.
Eventually I read in another thread that the issue had to do with the cpu (AMD fx 6350) chipset being a higher version than the motherboard could read (I may be butchering that)
Anyways i popped an old AMD Anthlon II in and it works like a charm.
So bassically what im asking is, how do I get it to work with my AMD fx 6350?
Ive already updated both the chipset drivers and BIOS that are on the MSI website.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
- Colin
