New CPU no GPU detection

I got a new processor for Christmas, the AMD A-10 7850K, to replace my old processor. Once i installed it and got my computer running my computer did not detect my old graphics card (an R9 270x) but rather it is detecting the APU built into the new processor. The thing is my monitor is a 32" Magnavox television connected through HDMI attached to the 270x rather than through the motherboard itself.

I have looked in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool built into windows to check if the computer detects the graphics card and it does not it says there is no device for display.

I have tried removing the card and reinstalling it to no avail. I have tried using the auto detect feature on the AMD graphics drivers website but it only detects the built in APU on the processor and gives the drivers for that.

The reason I am posting under CPU's is because this problem only surfaced once I installed a new CPU
System Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
AMD A-10 7850K
ASRock FM2 A88x Extreme 6+ Motherboard
ATI R9 270x Graphics Card

Solution
An APU have an inbuilt Graphics inside the CPU. So most probably, it will detect that one only. If you really want to use the R9 270X of yours, there will be an option in BIOS, where you can set the priority of Graphics Detection.
There give first priority to PCIE slot.
I dont have any hands on experience with APUs in Desktop and APU based motherboard.
Bt it worth a try.
Also check if your motherboard support crossfire, if so you can use both.
There are threads available in toms hardware, regarding that.

Thank you for the answer Nikhil but I have run into new problems where as my computer will not even show a display. My computer froze and turned off soon after I made this thread and now I can't access my computer.
I am going to close this thread now as I have a new problem at hand.
