Sorry if I double posted this question, had problems with the site.

One of my front USB3 ports short circuited (while PC was shut down, but USB3 ports still have power... long story) and on the next boot, my (asus maximus vi formula) 802.11ac mPCIe card is not being detected anymore.

However, I had BT disabled in the BIOS. I enabled BT again and it is working... Wifi is not. Its a 2 in 1 adapter.

Is it possible for the front USB3 port to have killed the 802.11ac mPCIe? Or did my wifi just stop working at the same time for absolutely no reason whatsoever?

I just tried to remove the mPCIe combo and put it back. Nothing. BT works fine but not Wifi in the 2 in 1 adapter. Windows doesn't detect 802.11ac at all. Not in Device Manager, nothing.

I think the fried USB port took down part of my 802.11ac adapter but left BT intact for some reasons. I dont know... I didnt think it was possible for a fried USB port to do that?

Just in case someone asks, its enabled in the bios.
