Ok i have already asked this but i need an answer asap, since Im not sure if my psu is safe. It keeps making a weird clicking noise but its not continuous its on and off. If i move my pc, it stops for around 5 minutes then starts again. Is this a sign of arcing, or is there somthing in the way of the fan. The unit is an XFX 450w core edition. it was bought around 4 months ago and has been used for a week.

In case this helps it sounds like when someone flexs a ruler against the table.
It also sounds like a rattle than a click

Solution
It's probably the fan bearing and with a psu of just four months old should you be able to rma it.The core/pro series had a problem with the fan bearings sometimes .

My Corsair supply also some times creates this type of noise " tik tik tik ...", but sometimes. But I didn't care too much. Reason is, if your supply works totally fine and not causing harm to other components then you should neglect it.
I can't con-firmly say that its a sign of arcing. But if you doubt then better to check it. May be your problem is different.
