i keep losing C: drive space

about a week ago i noticed i am losing space on my C drive. 2 days ago i had 12 gb free yesterday 9gb and today 5gb. every day i would search what has been modified on C drive and saw a lot of files but only in kb. i tought that google chrome is the problem because its cache took space but it would stop as 200-220 mb(and chrome takes 1,5 gb on c drive) I really cant find the problem, could it be a virus . pls help

update: space is mostly disappearing when a browser is open(googling or watching youtube)

it seems that most space is taken by desktop stuf(i put them here) and appdata , and most files by type are:"dll." files but that doesnt explain what keeps taking space because im am not downloading or installing anything(5 gb is a lot)

my windows updates are turned off, could temp files /pagefiles really out of nowhere take so much space ,any advice?

in windirstat under options i found "show unknown" and it showed 19,3 gb of unknown,it wont show me what it that

One of the pitfalls of using Windirstat is that it cannot look into "System Volume Information" (only accessible by the System service) and will always report 0 bytes. "System Volume Information" is where the restore points live and that's likely a large chunk of the used space.

ok i spent quite a lot of time on this problem. with programs like windristat i couldnt find anything,ashampoo winoptimizer did delete some files but didnt help. today i intsalled chrome again and GOT SPACE!!!?? and it started decreasing . Problem is not in just some files that keep stacking,it is like the space is free but something is just covering it, (i can just refresh my computer and see space decreasing)i really need help i tried every option and nothing helped

i checked system vloume information and it has 27 gb , but restore points are there from begeinig i have my pc,it is normal to take space. I'am talking about somthing actively (not NORMAL) taking space
