I have been having bluescreens for a while now, and have been trying to fix them by several means, including reinstalling windows after formatting it, but none of those fixes have solved my problem. Actually, the amount of bluescreens per day seem to have increased. Just today i had 3, when playing Plants VS Zombies while watching QI on youtube. I have installed Bluescreenviewer, and it mentions ntoskrnl.exe as a source of bluescreens.

Also, i get an ntfs.sys based bluescreen, it is combined with the ntoskrnl.exe:

A few days ago i had a really bad time with the atikmdag.sys, which gave bluescreens combined with ntoskrnl.exe again.

I would really appreciate some help with this, i've been learning a lot about computers and windows, but this stuff is a little over my head.

Thanks in advance, Cuno

Solution
your bugchecks are cause by using a current video driver on a windows 7 RTM build.
The file system corruption will be a side effect of the video subsystem induced crashes.

to fix this you must install the service pack for windows 7 and the windows updates.
Current video drivers no longer work around the old bugs in windows 7 RTM.

Thanks a lot for your answer! I can't believe i never found this solution somewhere, i might have been looking too specific to the bsod code. I have used Apup autoupdate for windows 7 sp 1, so i'm assuming that's all the update i need. I'll see how this goes, if it does happen again, could i solve it by installing windows 8? I assume my drivers would be up to date for that, and i would have none of these crashes. Again, thanks for the quick reply on 2nd xmasday! And hopefully (if the lizard squad isnt ruining it again) i can play some battlefield now without getting bsods!
