Hi guys. So I am building my first gaming rig and I am narrowing down motherboards. I have narrowed down the Gigabyte B85 and the Gigabyte Z87 motherboards. My rig will consist of:

Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150

RAM: HyperX Fury Series 8GB

PSU: Cooler Master Thunder 600 Watt SMPS

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 650 (Already there. Don't have the budget to upgrade)

HDD: 2TB 2x1 Seagate (Already there)

I can spare 7000-8000 Rupees for the motherboard and around 3000 Rupees for my cabinet, I need a Cooler Master cabinet.

Thank you in advance.

treat your haswell refresh CPU to a Z97 motherboard, if you go Z87 you may have to update your BIOS which for some users is a no-go, as if done wrong there is often no undo. The board listed below now should all have the pre-flashed BIOS support for that CPU.

Motherboard: Asus Z97K

Case: Personal preference. Get what you want and like the look of as you'll be seeing it every day. Don't get something we like but you hate the look of.
