AMD Athlon II X2 280 CPU on ASUS M2R32-MVP?

Hello everyone, I want to make an update to my hardware, here is my current setup:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
Video Card: SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 OC
RAM: 6GB DDR2
Motherboard: ASUS M2R32-MVP
Power supply: 500W

I wanted something cheap and I saw this CPU for less than 50 €. Is compatible with my current hardware?

motherboard wont support that cpu, which frankly isnt worth putting in your PC anyways. upgrade your mobo/cpu/ram to something that isnt 8 years old.

and youll probably need a PSU upgrade too.

the platform youre running that 270x on is a pretty large bottleneck.
