Hello all,
Building my first computer and I installed the PSU, Motherboard, GPU, RAM and everything properly I believe. I did the PSU paper clip test and the PSU works. When I connect the PSU back to the motherboard and attempt to turn on the computer nothing happens. No fans spin no lights turn. I have tried every possibility for the headers for the front panel to no avail. If someone could please help me out I'd appreciate it. I have a ASRock 990 FX EXTREME3. Thanks

Yes, the one that's close to the processor correct? My PSU has a 4 pin with another detatched 4 pin connector, so I connected them both to the 8 pin. Tried both variations with and without the second set of 4 pins.

Yes, I also gave that a shot while it was installed in the computer case. It did not start up.
