PSU instability? Hard freezes at random

I recently (about 3 weeks ago) added a 3 TB WD Black hard drive and an MSi Gaming GTX 970 to my rig and I've had problems with hard freezes that happen very randomly. It can be under load or when I'm not even at my computer. My voltages show perfectly fine as well. I wish I could take out components to see what's an issue but it's so sporadic that I can go days without issues then it'll pop up again.

My specs:
AMD FX-8320 (Overclocked to 4.4GHz)
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
2x4GB Kingston HyperX Black
MSi GTX 970 Gaming
Corsair TX650
240GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe SSD
3TB WD Black

My biggest tip off was that not too long ago I was playing a game earlier and my computer hard froze and then my fans revved up like they do when you're starting up your computer which makes it seem like my CPU momentarily lost power. It's not overheating since I cap out at 50C on the CPU at max load and I haven't seen my GPU go over 65C yet. I've run Prime95, 3DMark and memtest without having any hiccups whatsoever during their runs.

As far as I'm aware, my PSU should be able to handle the power consumption of my components. My only other thought is that my motherboard is going to crap since I've gotten one off BSODs (two different codes) the other day and haven't had any issues with them since then. Aside from that it's been all hard freezes.

Solution
I was facing the same problems with my PC and after a day or two my motherboard died, thinking that my mobo was the core of all problems I got a replacement and after booting up with new motherboard I started playing battlefield 4 and my nvidia driver started crashing , i re-installed windows twice but the problem still persisted then at that moment i was definitely sure that the PSU was faulty and it was the reason my MOBO died ; so i got a new PSU and now my PC is running very smooth and i am having no problems at all. So your best bet is to get another PSU and test it in your PC. The PSU that i was using was Cooler Master GX 750W which was a pretty poor quality unit.
