Hello all.

So I want to buy a kingston hyperx savage (ddr3-2400mhz).
I have now a some supertalent 4gb I'm running that at 1600mhz.

Question 1.
So can I put both in a dual channel? And
if I do that on what frequency working (1600 or 2400 or something else).

Question 2
So will be there a difference between both of rams, and how much.

My system:
Motherboard- msi fm2-a55m-e33
CPU- AMD A8-5600k
GPU- intergrated

Solution
Mixing DRAM can be and often is problematic, best to get a set of the full amount of DRAM you want - here the higher would be better especially if running the APU's on-board graphics as it uses the system DRAM - and all DRAM in a rig runs at the same data rate/speed, you can't set some at one freq and the others at a different one

If your system can run them both it will use the timings of the slowest module; ie - it will run them both at 1600 unless you force a higher clockspeed.
In dual channel the dimms must run at the same speed. So systems are capable of operating the different channels at seperate speeds; like channels a&b at 1600 with channels c&d at 2400, but this is not very common.
