Hello,
I am trying to build an affordable gaming PC that will last me a long time before I have to update. I need a PC that has a good video card, a decent amount of memory for games, and that runs quickly. I am new to building PC's and fairly new to PC gaming so I am not sure if the parts I have selected are the correct parts for the job or if I am missing anything.
Parts (and prices) selected are below using PCPartPicker:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core ($96.69)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ ($44.95)
Memory: A-Data XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 ($80.98)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM ($51.85)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 1GB ($79.99)
Case: Azza SIRIUS ATX Mid Tower ($39.99)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 300W ATX12V ($36.99)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($18.75)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($88.99)
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DGX ($26.98)
Wireless Network Adapter: Linksys AE3000 802.11a/b/g/n USB 2.0 ($39.99)
One of the games I play requires that the video and sound card are DirectX 9.0c Compatible, I haven't been able to find much information on this so if someone could also tell me if what I have selected is compatible that would be amazing and if not please suggest something that would be!
I feel like this is a decent gaming computer for the price. The total price is $606.15, which is not too bad but I obviously would like to make it more affordable if possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you SO much!!!!
