Switching from an AMD GPU to Nvidia one? Driver Help?

So I'm upgrading my R7 240 to a GTX 750 Ti SC and I have been reading about uninstalling the drivers, rebooting and then installing the new card and drivers. Is that the right order? Sorry I'm new to PC upgrading so it's a bit daunting to me :/

change the word "rebooting" to power system down.

and yes, this is the right order.
