New SSD isn't appearing in windows.

*UPDATE: I took a leap of faith and did more stuff. I gave it a volume and stuff and now it appears in windows as "New volume (E:) I think i did good? xD

So I just got a new Kingston SSD, installed it, and everything is fine. BUT It isn't appearing in windows. I did *something* and now i am here:

I looked at a TON of threads and none really help. If guys could help me out, that would be fantastic :)
 
Solution
Remember that as your games are loaded off the SSD, this will go quickly bit it's the OS that moves them from the SSD into memory. Ypu would have benefitted more from an SSHD than from the SSD as you are currently using it.

I would suggest the following:

1. Put your OS on the SSD.
2. Replace the HD with an SSHD
3. Use the old HD for backups.

Oh! Its not for windows! just for games. Its appearing as my E: Drive currently and im moving stuff onto it :)

 
Agree with USAF ....

Normal SSD installation:

1. Power down PC
2. Disconnect HD data cable
3. Install SSD
4. Turn on PC and insert Windows Disc / USB Stick
5. Install Windows
6. Install \ original component drivers / utilities
7. Run Windoze Update 8 or 9 times till it offers nothin'
8. Install latest drivers / utilities.
9. Shut down PC and connect HD cable
10. Reboot PC

Then you're tossing away most of the benefit of having the SSD. Your choice, though.
