Motherboard and cpu compatability

So I'm new to the computer building thing and I was wandering if this motherboard and this cpu are compatable

They bother have a am3+ But I'm asking on her to double check if that means there compatable because I don't want to Spend the money and they not be compatable

According to PC Partpicker and the same socket they are compatible, but you'll might need to update BIOS to make it work.

please for the love of good don't buy the MSI 970 G46 as it is known to burn.

A good replacement and will work right out of the box is the gigabyte GA-970 UD3P.

The MSI is compatible too but please don't buy it.

The WD Caviar blue is a very reliable Mechanical Drive , it's almost as fast as the WD Caviar Black and costs much less. Great choice

I have that same HDD, and i can say its really reliable and fast, because it has only one platter. If you want speed from your HDD you won't regret it.

The G46 is famous for actually catching on fire. Get a GA-990FXA-UD3 or GA-970-UD3P. Two good cheap boards.
