Is the GT 740 Compatible with a 300w Power Supply?

Hi - It's possible, but I would recommend against it. NVidia recommends a 400w PSU. They do build
in headroom, but prob not 100w.
Also, I don't believe your current 300w PSU has a 6 pin pcie connector required for the gt 740.

What are the specs of that psu? Look at amps on the +12voltrail(s),you'll find this info on a sticker that's on the side of the psu.You'll need to open the case for that.
