I just bought a corsair H100i waterlooped cooler. I was in the bios because i got some new RAM but i noticed that my CPU tem was rising pretty fast they rose to about 83 Celsius. I waited untill i finally got to the desktop where i downloaded Corsair link and saw that is went back down to 60 celsius.I have no thermal paste on but the layer that comes pre-applied to the copper. I also noticed that when i was screwing on the back plates that it was extremely wiggly with all 4 screws in. So i took some pliers and tried to screw it in but it went no further. I installed the thing anyway. I wiggled the pump and it seemed tight. So back to when i was playing cod, It was reaching temps of 98 celsius. I think that is crazy. Please help! Also one more thing when i took off the stock cpu cooler the thermal paste would not come off.I removed all the physical gunk (and rubbed it in Isopropal rubbing alcohol) but it loos as if it is slightly stained. Please help! Now it says it it 54.8 celsius

Hello... 1) You must allow time for the Thermal Paste to settle and spread out for a few days to reach a static readiing.
2) The CPU Heat Sink should never be loose or Wiggle... Do you need a spacer on the Mounting system, Or a Re-reading of the proper mounting order/parts to achieve this?
3) If the Water cooling system requires Windows software controls, then those controls will not be available when in the BIO's Screen.

The block does not wiggle its the standoffs that wiggled.

OMFG i just found out that the fans arent even spinning. Is it required to install both sata power and the cpu fan?

Hello... The best Contact for cooling is metal to metal... Thus the less Thermal Paste used IS the best situation... Thermal Paste compensates for the Non flatness of the Two items, for improved Thermal Conductivity.
There are cases of CPU's that had the metal cap not installed properly or flat... And Also the Heatsink was not machined properly.

I think you need to carefully read the instruction manual.
The SATA power is required, and connecting the block to the CPU fan header is also required (unless you have a separate method, which you don't)

If you don't have a way to bypass each connection, all of the included connectors (Aside from the extra fan splitter) are required.
