I recently purchased a Gigabyte Z97-HD3 motherboard and intel i7 4790k to replace my old AMD motherboard and processor. I also purchased a Seagate 2TB hybrid drive. I am trying to install Windows 7 SP1 on that drive from a USB. I am having issues in a few different places. Every time i attempt to install it finishes expanding files, installing features and updates and then reboots. After that reboot it boots from the USB and the hard drive cant be booted. There are files on the drive but it doesn't detect an install of windows. I have tried cleaning the drive in disk part and manually formatting it. I have also installed the latest iRST drivers. Also in BIOS i have the hard drive set as first in boot order. I can't seem to figure out what is going on here. Any suggestions?

I tried yanking the USBs and selecting the boot drive from bios on start up after the first bit of windows installation finishes. Turns out, that bios doesnt even detect my drive at that time. Upon wiping it in command prompt it then recognizes it again.

So much later follow up here... Don't by a SSHD. The original one I had died, got free replacement, died after a few weeks. Ended up with a refund. So... just don't buy one, i have come to find out through some research that they have a notoriously bad reliability.
